We ran short-term rentals before we wrote a line of code. Every feature you see is something we wished we had at 2 AM on a Friday.

Why we started Shortrental.ai

In 2022 we were running 40 apartments across Sofia, Bansko and Plovdiv. We stitched together Hostaway, a cleaning spreadsheet, WhatsApp groups, a separate lock app and ChatGPT prompts copy-pasted by hand.

Every week something broke. A double-booking because Hostaway's sync lagged. A cleaner who showed up to the wrong apartment. A guest who waited 6 hours for a response because our team was asleep.

We looked at the roadmaps of Guesty, Hostaway, Lodgify — and they were building 2019 software for a 2026 problem. The AI revolution was happening, and property management was nowhere.

So we rebuilt our stack from scratch, AI-first, multi-role, multi-language. Six months later our ops team was 3× more productive. Friends asked if they could use it. Then their friends. Then Shortrental.ai.
